While Labelbox is a remote-first company with employees across the globe, we also believe that building relationships face-to-face fosters a close-knit and high performance team. For this reason, Labelbox will pay for employees to travel to HQ up to two weeks a year, travel for team offsites, two annual hackathons (for engineering roles), and additional time as needed.
All team members receive a laptop upon joining Labelbox, as well as a stipend to be used for any extra items that may help them be most productive and comfortable at home, whether that be an additional monitor, a desk, or a comfy office chair.
New employees are also assigned an onboarding buddy. This will be another remote Labelbox team member who you can rely on for advice and support as you navigate our remote environment. Buddies help new team members get acclimated to our asynchronous work style and explain how we use various tools, including Zoom and Slack, to stay connected across multiple time zones.

This step of the interview process allows you to get a better understanding of the team structure, culture, and management style at Labelbox while building a personal connection with someone who could be your manager. You can ask specific questions about the role, such as the responsibilities, expectations, and opportunities for growth and development. The hiring manager can also provide additional context about the company's mission and vision, as well as any upcoming projects or initiatives that you may be involved in.
Some roles will require a technical interview component following the hiring manager conversation, prior to the virtual interview. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in your field. We'll ask you technical questions related to the position and may ask you to complete a coding or design exercise.
We will schedule a series of consecutive virtual interviews to give you the chance to meet with a few more members of the Labelbox team, learn more about the company and the position, and showcase your skills and personality. This is also a great time to come prepared with questions, learn about different perspectives from individuals across the organization, and get to know your potential future-teammates.
Our interview process is designed to evaluate the mutual fit between our business needs, your skills and career goals. The hiring manager makes the final decision for their team based on feedback from the interview panel. Should the team decide to move forward, your recruiter will guide you through the offer process and the logistics of your first day.
