Keeping your training data in Labelbox safe & secure
We are excited to announce that we have achieved full SOC 2 Type II security compliance as a part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize the security and confidentiality of our customer’s data. SOC 2 Type II is one of the highest standards in information security commercially.
What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 compliance requires organizations to pass an annual audit based on the Trust Services principles and criteria defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). That criterion evaluates IT environments on everything from the cybersecurity controls they have in place to the integrity of the data management processes employed.
SOC 2 compliance means AI teams can have confidence in the fact that their data is being kept completely confidential, and Type II compliance signifies that independent auditors have attested that Labelbox’s security controls are not only suitably designed and implemented, but that they are operating effectively across the organization.
Building a secure training data platform
As AI builders ourselves, we've always believed that training data should be treated with the utmost safety, security, and privacy standards. Training data used to build AI applications is among the most sensitive an organization is likely to possess. We are committed to the highest levels of privacy, security, and compliance at Labelbox and this is one of the many initiatives to make Labelbox the safest place for your teams to build AI. Here are some other things we have done over the last 12 months:
Bringing Labelbox to Europe
As the Labelbox customer base continues to grow throughout Europe, we must meet the security and compliance requirements in the European Union and beyond. Labelbox complies with general data protection regulations (GDPR).
SSO + Labelbox
Large AI teams often need enterprise-level security. Labelbox supports most SSO identity providers including SAML, Okta, OneLogin, Google Apps, ADFS, and Azure.
Moving forward
We plan to continue to secure the trust and well-being of our customers via ongoing security efforts and regular SOC2 Type II reports; staying up to date with AICPA and customer needs. To learn more about our commitment to cybersecurity, read more at Labelbox Privacy & Security FAQ.
