Claude Instant is a low-latency, high throughput large language model (LLM) built by Anthropic. It's trained to be a helpful assistant in a conversational tone.

Intended Use

Claude is an AI assistant created by Anthropic to be helpful, harmless, and honest. It can answer questions, give recommendations, and have casual conversations using natural language.

Performance

Early customers report that Claude is much less likely to produce harmful outputs, easier to converse with, and more steerable and that it is a serious contender to ChatGPT, performing much better in some tasks but worse in others.

Limitations

Claude only has the knowledge and abilities that have been explicitly built into its model during training. It does not have a general capability for open-domain problem solving.
